Welcome to Potes, capital of Liébana! We start at the Municipal Tourist Office, in the former church of San Vicente Mártir, which also houses the Centro de Estudios Lebaniegos.
The building, no longer used for worship, was built between the 14th and 18th centuries and declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 2000. Here they assist pilgrims on the Camino Lebaniego towards Santo Toribio. The walk is circular and on foot: we will return to this same point.
We go down Calle Independencia towards the Torre del Infantado, the emblem of the town.
